lab- urinanalysis

1) how can we use a urine sample found at the scene of a crime to provide clues to a criminal trial?

we can use a urine sample from a scene of a crime to help us in a criminal trial because when you take the sample and you have suspects you can tell who was there by testing the urine for glucose or albumen. this could also be helpful because i think you can do the same procedure for other different bodily fluids  but then you would check for other things that are in the fluids.

2) how might this lab be helpful in preparing you for the mission?

this lab could be helpful for preparing for our mission because there may be liquids at the crime scene that could maybe help us find our suspect.

powder lab

1)what are the methods that are used by forensic scientist to determine the nature of an unknown substance (like white powder)?

methods that are used by forensic scientists are using different substances or liquids that may react to what ever powder it is. another method they use is putting the powder on a heating pad and seeing how it reacts if at all.

2)how might this lab be helpful in preparing you for the mission?

this could be helpful because if there were substances we could test them with what info. we already have. this would also be helpful because it shows how to test different things.

trajectory lab

1) how can the angle of impact of a bullet in a wall be used to determine other critical information about the scene of a crime?

the angle of impact of a bullet in a wall can be used to determine other critical information because it can show you how tall the person was when they shot the bullet. the shot can also tell us what angle they shot at wether they shot from straight ahead or wether  they were on the ground.

2) how might this lab be helpful preparing you for the mission?

this lab could be helpful for preparing for our mission because it is teaching us more about scientific and mathematical problems, in finding the angle and ratio of a circle (or bullet points).
